The different responses to health problems among individuals and contemporary populations have been shaped in part by the natural history of our ancestors. There is evidence that some infectious diseases such as cardiovascular, diabetes, etc., Or how we metabolize food and drugs, are products of our organic and social evolution. The possibility of studying genes involved in diseases with DNA prehispanic former gives us a perspective on the composition of ancestral populations. Comparison of ancient samples with current populations will give us an idea of \u200b\u200bhow and how much they have changed over time.
symposium will discuss the evolutionary origin of South American populations and their diseases. It is estimated the chances of genetic data to compare pre-Hispanic ruins with modern populations. It will assess the usefulness of these studies in disease prevention.
